MSFS 2020  Free and Payware Airports:

The additional handcrafted Airports in MSFS 2020 are great. But bear in mind that KDEN –  KLAX – EGLL and others are also available from  3rd Party Developers which are fantastic (Flightbeam KDEN is a must, EGLL from IniBuilds as well). Check   Page  Free and Pay Ware

MSFS 2020 Payware Airports Just for Comparison

Checkout the Payware Airport as an example, specifically KDEN – KORD – KLAX and KJFK – EHAM.  Just to name a few

If you rather have this excellent airports, then Standard version of MSFS 2020 is just fine –  If you are going to purchase there airports, then Premium or Deluxe Version of MSFS 2020 would just be for the additional Aircraft.

MSFS 2020 Aircraft

One of my reasons to buy the Deluxe version was the Citation Longitude and B787-10. Although the B787 is also available as Freeware Mod, you probably need to default version to get it to work.

2. MSFS 2020 Initial Installation

Prior to installation, it is recommended that two separate directories be created. The first one should be named “Xbox” (example) for the executable file, and the second one “MSFS” (example) for the content, on a different SSD with at least 500 GB capacity. The installation process consists of two steps. Initially, you should download the executable file and install it into the “Xbox” directory. Secondly, start MSFS 2020 and indicate where to place the content. Point to the drive where the “MSFS” folder is located. After the installation process is complete, there will be two folders within the “MSFS” directory. One folder is called Official, and the other is Community. This logical move will ensure that MSFS 2020 is kept away from your system folders, and all your main content will be in a large enough space and easily accessible. You can call the folders above any other names that you wish.

3. Advanced Installation

When purchasing content from ORBX, it is crucial to understand that their products can be efficiently installed in an isolated directory. Upon configuring the ORBX Central APP, you can select a specific folder, such as “ORBX MSFS,” located outside of the MSFS Content folder. Any ORBX addons stored in this directory will be properly connected and identified within the Community folder. One significant benefit to this method is that in the event that you must reinstall the simulator, there will be no need to reinstall ORBX content since it is separate.

To ensure easy access to freeware downloads sourced from platforms like flghtsim.to, I recommend storing them in a designated folder named ‘MSFS Freeware’. You can simplify the process of linking these freeware to your MSFS Community folder by utilizing the ‘MSFS addons Linker’ tool, which can be downloaded from the following link: msfs-addons-linker. After installation, select your MSFS Community folder and apply the location where you have saved your freeware. The program will then promptly link all freeware to the Community Folder, making them easily accessible for you. The process is straightforward and is sure to facilitate ease of access to all your freeware downloads.

4. MSFS 2020 Graphic Simulator Settings

The MSFS 2020 internal Graphic Settings can be easily modified via the menu General Settings – Graphics. It is important to note that hardware specifications vary from PC to PC, and therefore, specific settings may not be universally applicable. To simplify the process, Microsoft/Asobo has provided a feature at the top of the Graphics Settings where users can specify their system specifications, ranging from Low to High end. It is highly recommended to start somewhere in the middle and gradually work upwards by increasing individual sliders. For an optimal experience, it is suggested to experiment with the settings while flying the FBW A20N at a high-density airport such as KJFK until desired results are obtained.

You may find the two Videos from Q8 Pilot extremely useful, which are posted on the right hand side.

The FBW A20n & A380 plus Headwind A339 aircraft were developed based on the original A20N by Asobo. These aircraft have undergone substantial remodelling, both on the interior and exterior, to provide sophisticated aircraft systems and refined flight behaviours. For a more comprehensive understanding of these features, we recommend watching the videos below.

FSLTL is a software that enhances the realism of your flight simulation experience by injecting real-time air traffic from Flightradar24. It features a variety of aircraft models and provides both airborne and ground traffic. With FSLTL, you can expect an elevated sense of immersion and authenticity in your simulations.
